Supervision of Trade Finance transactions ensure that the quality of service rendered to customers is to the highest standard. Coordinate activities of the Unit in accordance with identified bank goals to obtain optimum efficiency, economy of operation, and maximize profits by performing the assigned duties through subordinates. Maintain a close working relationship with team colleagues, sharing information and working together to deliver a high quality support to service users (internal and external customers).
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To work within the policy and procedural framework established, ensuring full up to any breaches in consultation with the assistant manager and line manager and at all times deal with them in a respectful and professional manner that recognizes their choices, needs and rights and encourages a working relationship based on encouragement, motivation and support.
Analyze the risk factors and arrange for the appropriate type of amendment whenever it is required in order not to expose the bank and the client to any potential financial loss.
As directed complete reports, including TF service’s reviews, care/support plans, case notes and other documentation for line managers, in a timely and accurate manner, and in accordance with policy and procedures.
Performs a variety of day to day following administrative/operational/supervisory duties:
Review Issuance and Amendments of all Trade Finance products to ensure that they comply with the A&OM, CPM and UAE Commercial Code requirements.
Analyze the terms and conditions of the Trade instruments in order to protect the interests of the bank as well as the clients by ensuring that the terms and conditions are unambiguous. Verify that commissions and charges are calculated correctly, properly recorded and claimed.
Review all relative financial and non-financial
transactions and ensure its accuracy by signing Level ‘B’ and authorize same to Intellect and ensure timely and accurate posting procedure.
Counter check that commissions and charges are calculated correctly properly recorded and claimed. Ensure proper follow - up for recovery. Counter check that liabilities are correctly booked, Sanctions are up to date.
Verify and sign all periodical Reports/Statements related to Trade Finance via Central Bank, FCD, Correspondent Banking, IA, Accounts Dept., and various correspondences.
Check and release swift messages generated through swift alliance
Review of daily posting journal (interim beam report) against vouchers.
Verify all periodical Reports/Statements related to sundry accounts and follow up with TFSO and Senior TFSO its settlement including recovery of receivable commissions, commissions due under auto renewal guarantees and also follow up amortization of commission processes.
assure proper follow-up of due dates for acceptance and T/R’s and follow up of returning / cancellation of Shipping Guarantees, settlement of outstanding bills for collection and as required by AOM to secure timely and full settlement of same.
Control the work flow, guide and assist the staff to improve their skills and carry out their tasks in a professional way and ensure that the high standard of service is maintained constantly. Will allocate work to staff and monitor performance that must meet exacting standards both in terms of speed & accuracy.
Management of the staff and participating in the operational process.
Make clear to staff any special conditions pertaining to particular work issues
Periodic meeting (weekly) with his team to discuss raised issues
