Support Services Manager

► Develop and update the strategy, goals and targets of the human resource department regarding support services.

► Develop milestones and plans for the human resource department regarding support services to achieve its goal.

► Develop the annual budget for the human resource department regarding support services and ensure cost and expenditure are within the set budget.

► Manage the implementation of the strategic initiatives, as applicable to support services, and communicate expectations to all individuals within the department.

► Manage the implementation and improvement of the human resource guidelines regarding support services, policies and procedures and ensure compliance across all departments.

► Manage the Insurance needs (medical and assets) of the group. Supervise the selection of insurer as per policies and procedures in coordination with the Finance Department to ensure budget compliance.

► Ensure proper stocking levels for office supplies / stationery. Review and approve purchase orders. Employ cost effective purchasing strategies. Maintain vendors list and periodically review for more economical alternatives.

► Arrange for proper staffing of front desk / reception / phone operators throughout the group’s facilities.

► Supervise provision of travel related logistical support for issuing tickets, arranging accommodation and transport for guests etc.

► Guide the maintenance and procurement of the group’s non-business related vehicles fleet and drivers.

► Oversee the mail distribution across the group.

► Maintain contracts with various service providers (security staff, cleaners, maintenance staff etc).

Managerial :-

► Provide advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to support services department personnel to carry out function and procedures, consistent with established policies. Ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and ensure all employees understand their role in the department.

► Communicate and discuss the support services department’s guidelines and procedures with employees to ensure responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities are defined and understood.

► Delegate relevant responsibilities to achieve operation in the support services department.

► Provide guidance and leadership to all support services department employees to ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and ensure all employees recognize their fundamental role in the department.

► Initiate and manage the annual performance appraisal to review support services employees’ work performance.

► Recommend salary adjustments, rewards and promotions based on support services employee performance. Carry out disciplinary actions when needed.

► Monitor adherence to support services guidelines, policies and procedures.

► Ensure effective departmental performance through the selection, development, and management.
