Contracts Manager - Global Staffing Solutions

Position: Contracts ManagerLocation: Saudi ArabiaSalary: USD 10-13,000Our Client,  a well-known European consultancy, is looking for a Contracts Manager for one of the most prestigious metro projects in the
Middle East. The ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience in the drafting and writing of complext contracts and contractual documentation. Responsibilities:
- Drafts contracts by reviewing, negotiating and writing initial conditions- Prepares legal positions by researching transactional matters- Supports business units by researching and analyzing contractual matters; identifying potential issues- Supports governmental affairs department by researching regulatory matters- Produces write-ups by researching and analyzing laws, drafting opinions- Resolves legal issues by responding to regulatory and other inquiries, complaints, and disputes; negotiating conclusions- Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Educated to a minimum of bachelor's degree level in civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, preferably from a western educational facility- Minimum of 10 years' experience, 5 at a similar level- Good knowledge of Commercial and Civil Law; legal environment, taxation etc.- Excellent knowledge of general standard contractual formulations (FIDIC, Utility specific etc.)- Experience of risk appraisal and claims management for projects- Experience working on major complex construction/civil engineering projects such as rail, metro, highways, roads, tunnels, bridges etc.- Negotiation and presentation skills- Experience in functional management of teams- Capable of working in a multi-national and multi-cultural team.

- Self-motivated, proactive individual capable of working as a member of a team operating independently- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously- Excellent written/oral communication skills.- Ability to work in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.
