Summary
The Head of Electrical department executes a dual role of heading the Electrical department (HOD-Electrical) and the role of a project manager (PM) for Electrical projects. The Head of Electrical department acts in the capacity of an administrative leader of the department and is expected to recruit, built and manage a team of professional engineers and technician to service all the Electrical projects in the company. The HOD-Electrical will provide strong leadership, including strategic planning of projects, financial planning, management of human and physical resources, supervision of the department in compliance with appropriate company and client standards and procedures.

Description
Ensuring that the coordination among all disciplines interfaces within the Engineering Department is in compliance with the project requirements.
Prepare monthly progress report and closely monitor performance.
Responsible for liaising directly with Project Managers for manning and de- manning of engineering (electrical) staff.
Select supporting software programs required to operate the design functions as applicable.
Assign the specific job responsibility to a person who will keep full control of all documentation produced during the progress of the work.
To ensure that activities are performed in accordance with the planned programme.
To provide necessary support and information to the Procurement Manager for technical bid evaluations,
Manage the preparation of Bid Proposals
Supervisory role in preparation of engineering deliverables during bidding stage & modification if any on award of engineering contracts.
Profile
15+ years experience with at least 8 years in MEP Construction
Job Offer
QAR 35,000 - 40,000 + housing and transportation allowance
