Description
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for all costs relating to construction projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. Employ methods to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the company standards and quality of work.
The Quantity Surveyor will oversee and coordinate all contractor achievements and milestones and the verification and progress measurements for compilation of payment statements in accordance with the contract.
Undertake cost analysis for interior fit out and new construction work, enabling user departments to budget and initiate construction projects.
Assist in establishing user department requirements and undertaking feasibility studies. Perform risk and value management and cost control.
Conduct milestone and deliverable reviews. Review with the respective Project Managers on achievement related criteria associated with contract milestones as may be presented by the contractor in support of invoices.
Conduct support measurement, progress and cost verification. Preform activities associated with interim and final account measurements and payments. Attending site visits to verify work completed.
Provide advice on contractual claims and assist the Project Manager in resolving with consultants and or contractors.
Profile
The successful candidate must hold a technical university degree with a minimum of 7 years of Saudi experience working with a PMC.
