Senior Business Analyst

Job Purpose:

• To direct and control all activities of the Shared Services section in a timely and cost effective manner to enable the Foundation to meet its objectives and fulfill targets of the approved annual budget plan.

• To direct and guide the team to produce all Shared Service plans & reports to meet the Departmental objectives in line with the business plan.

• To provide vision for future expansion needs. Encourage commitment and active involvement from employees and customers to meet the business objectives of the Foundation.

• To play business support role within Business Support Group by managing all the activities of Shared Services, Cost Allocation and reporting.

• To formulate and implement cost back charging mechanism within FM under Service Level Agreements with various Centers, Branch campuses and other Directorates.

• To be responsible for setting up the Shared Service section under the Business Support Department and for interfacing with various Centers, Branch campuses.

• Responsible of the planning, monitoring, communication and appropriate presentation of the service performance and service delivery related to FM Shared Service.

• The incumbent will analyze, design, develop and engineer business process; apply commercially best practice across the organization while supporting a vision of shared services for FM. This includes implementation of standards and norms and implementation of audit framework.

Key Result Areas

• Plans, executes and controls all activities of his section through assigned personnel at the Foundation. Performs functions at the level established by the management for the position.

• Ensures Business support to the department including departmental training needs, updating of operational procedures, update of Intranet Portal, Management Information Reports, support and financial analysis upon the direction of the Business Support Manager.

• Produces all Shared Service plans & reports to meet the Departmental objectives in line with the business plan. Prepare the long and short term section plans & strategies.

• Responsible for formulating all the backcharging, cost allocation and SLA strategies, plans, monitoring, reporting and presentations.

• Receives & reviews Audit reports, takes decisions & plans the recommendations and keep follow up tracking.

• Manages the budget related activities and ensures that the budget covers all divisional activity including required manpower.

• Ensures that systematic and proper work programs are adhered to, to meet the training needs of FM staff and especially Qatari staff. Identifies additional training needs and provides appropriate feedback to Business Support Manager.

• Evaluates current procedures and practices of all activities within the division, to develop and implement alternate methods designed for improvement of work. Ensures procedures, schedules and reporting systems and records on divisional activities to the management. Initiates action to improve the acquisition, processing and storage of data of other reports for management control purposes.

• Assists to make performance appraisals and provide inputs for improvements and training needs. Plans and coordinates for trainings program.

• Plans, controls, oversee, tracks and monitors revenues, cost recovery and cost allocation for FM.

• Ensures to ISO accreditation, regulation of the department. Ensures the activities of the section conform to ISO 9000 series Quality Management Systems.

• Reviews the overall FM costs and compiles the cost back charging structure and details as per the Service Level Agreements with end users.

• Assists Business Support Manager in dealing with non-routine departmental strategic plan.
