Reporting to Facilities and Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Engineer is responsible to keep all machinery and equipment in operational condition by following and improving preventive and periodic maintenance jobs.
Maintenance Engineer in practice will manage a group of maintenance technicians to respond daily requests in order to avoid any setback both in production and facility in general.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Investigates and recommends quick response action on maintenance work orders.
• Plans operations and methods to be used to make necessary repairs and installations
• Manages a team of technicians by assigning, directing and evaluating their performances
• Ensure compliance of preventive maintenance works carried on machinery and equipment
• Controls downtime by informing affected departments of routine preventive maintenance
• Cooperates with subcontractors on works carried out in the facility
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Examines defective parts to find out the root cause
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Maintains metrics on: equipment, tooling and manpower capacity utilization
• Follows all safety rules and regulation
