Senior Specialty Engineer (Planning and Scheduling) - Qatar Intermediate Industries Holding Co., Ltd.

Job Information & Purpose:

Reports to: Assistant Manager Project Support



Responsible for managing the project schedule development, maintenance, monitoring progress status and reporting to support senior management in ensuring in timely completion of projects.



Duties and Responsibilities:

 Draft project milestones in consultation with Asst Manager (Project Support) and Project Execution and Engineer Manager and hand-over the plan to PMC for schedule creation

 Check accuracy and sufficiency of the schedule for the scope coverage (is exhaustive), achievement of the work program (whether productivities considered are realistic), various contract conditions being built in the schedule (Eg., drawing proof reading time) and if all interdependencies are considered

 Analyzes MIS reports to identify and highlight key problem areas, imminent risks and possible sources of delays to the Asst. Manager (Project Support) & Project Execution and Engineer Manager at all times during the course of the project

 Prepares MIS reports in standard formats and circulates it to the top management based on inputs from various departments

 Assess resource (labor, material, equipment) plans on an on-going basis, correct discrepancies, and identify opportunities for efficiencies

 Reviews on an on-going basis, achievability of periodic work programs and its alignment to the master schedule

 Tracks and maintains design schedules, liaising schedule, procurement and contracting schedule; highlight activities requiring action

 Analyses and prepares the time impact to the project owing to scope changes / variance.

 Maintains and Updates the Risk Register for the project.

 Establish and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers/ contractors
