Category Manager - Future Career Generator

On behalf of a leading retailer with branches throughout the MENA region we are seeking a Category Manager for their Head office in Jeddah.



Reporting to the Business Unit Manager you will be responsible to manage and optimise the profitability and total portfolio of the respective category.



• Conducts monthly category reviews to manage category performance, product mix, listing / delisting of products according to consumer and business needs

• Increases category sales by conducting market analyses and implementing pricing promotions, etc. as necessary

• Develops specific analysis evaluation reports for the category

• Liaises with assigned suppliers to implement joint promotions, space rental and proper merchandising

• Generates extra income and benefits from related companies (space rental, scientific and marketing support, etc.)

• Conducts market research on customers, market dynamics and competitor data to maximize share

• Approves purchase orders

• Enters item pricing for new items and necessary adjustments if suppliers change the prices of goods

• Maintains the products availability at the agreed target

• Maintains the working capital at the agreed target

• Reviews and approves the registration of new items

• Monitors team productivity and review deliverables.
