Private Label Head - Future Career Generator

On behalf of a leading retailer with branches throughout the MENA region we are seeking a Private Label Head to be based in their Head office in Jeddah.



Reporting to the VP Commercial you will be responsible for managing the companies owned and private label business and maintain overseas suppliers’ relationship, In order to achieve sales, profit targets, and satisfying consumers.



Operational Role:

• Lead the development/implementation of Private Label strategy/tactics in line with companies commercial strategy to deliver categories P&L (profit, volume and market share)

• Establish strong business relationships and communications directly with global manufacturers and suppliers

• Develop products business plan and manage the entire product life-cycle end to end.

• Work closely with category management team to identify and address the shopping list and specifications of private label items

• Determine pricing / positioning strategies to optimize products profitability jointly with category management

• Work with marketing team to develop private label brands

• Insure private label items are matching all governmental legal requirements (product specifications and manufacturer standers)

• Responsible for product quality as perceived by consumers and initiation of associated actions.

• Standardize supplier’s contracts commercial terms and conditions, logistic requirements and custom clearance documents.

• Standardize and own supplies selection and evaluation process.

• Participate and assist in retail planning process to develop future breakthrough plan.

• Lead the development of standardized private label reporting



People Role:

Develop, facilitate and assist in the development of true interdependence across all aspects of the commercial department
