Head of Occupational Health - Qatar Foundation

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Manager Safety, Health & Environment, the incumbent will ensure the health & wellbeing of the Qatar Foundation’s communities through appropriate Health systems, Occupational Health programs and Primary curative health arrangements. He will ensure that these systems and programs are well coordinated, resources assigned and scheduled in an efficient professional manner in accordance with Qatar Foundation and international recognized standards. He will be responsible for the development of relevant Health policies, procedures & programs and ensure the adherence to the Health laws and regulations of the State of Qatar.



KEY RESULT AREAS

 Designing and developing the organizational Health systems to ensure the protection and promotion of the health and well-being of the Qatar Foundation communities.

 Introducing appropriate Occupational Health programs with regard to the various Occupational Health hazards that the Qatar Foundation communities are exposed to, during the course of their work.

 Leading the Health team in the initiation, preparation and launching of, as well as implementation and accomplishment of the Health endeavours.

 Streamlining, enhancing, enriching and managing the in-house clinical delivery systems of the primary health-care and emergency medical care for the staff and student communities of Qatar Foundation.

 Monitoring the functioning of Qatar Foundation Clinics and ensuring appropriate state of preparedness, effectiveness and efficiency in the services rendered by the establishment to the dependent population.

 Commissioning and inducting the expanded/ extended stand-by emergency medical services within the Education City Community Housing complex and managing them on an ongoing basis.

 Being responsible for the general administrative duties in relation to the Qatar Foundation’s Health set-up as well as the hierarchy of the clinical services delivery systems in relation to QF Care clinic and QF Medical centre.

 Being responsible for evolving the systems to maintain records and documents in relation to Health systems, all services rendered and activities taken up by the Health set-up, and all the launched Health programs.

 Planning the resources and supplies, following the assessment of needs through technical surveys and other means of evaluation, in relation to all the Occupational Health and Clinical Medical services and activities.

 Evolving a meaningful and suitable Business-Plan for the Health function aligning well with the vision and business plan of the ‘Qatar Foundation’ and then proposing an accurate and authentic Budget to execute it, using comprehensive and ‘Zero-Based Budgeting’ approach.
