A multi billion US$ conglomerate with large scale operations in oil refining and oil trading as well as signficant other interests in eg real estate and logistics across Kurdistan and the wider Middle East have grown their operations significantly and are looking to develop a world class finance function to provide visibility and transparency on the company’s operations.
The firm have installed Great Plains ERP system across the firm and now needs to further develop the finance and reporting operations across the group to ensure best practice.
We are looking for a hihgly technically proficient, commercially minded and experienced finance professionl to work closely with senior management across the group to understands the group’s businesses and lead a team in developing a robust reporting framework to provide consolidated reporting with a high level of integrity and commercial usefulness.
The role will involve developing the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring the integrity of the ledgers, ensuring efficient treasury processes and working with internal audit to ensure controls are in place and effective. The individual will also take the lead in year end financial reporting under IFRS, produced detailed consolidated accounts and work with external auditors.
This is a highly visible position reporting into the Group Finance Director with significant exposure to senior management and group strategy. It is therefore crucial that the individual must be of a high calibre both technically, but also will have a strong commercial mind and the confidence to work closely with the board and other senior management.
We therefore cannot be flexible on the below requirements.
