Operations Manager - Web Content - Ecommerce - M.H. Alshaya Co.

eCommerce is an exciting new support function within Alshaya as the business launches transactional websites for a number of the 70+ brands and 19 countries within the Alshaya portfolio. The function is rapidly building Alshaya's multi-channel capability to deliver customers' choice and convenience when shopping in a number of rapidly growing online emerging markets. The function is split in to 4 key areas - Trading & Merchandising, Operations & Program Management, Design & Content and Digital Marketing.



The Role



You will take ownership of the development of website content acquisition and approvals for all brand sites, adhering to CRM business objectives. To achieve this you must be able to manage numerous workloads streams from internal, 3rd party, host brands and merchants to strict deadlines. You must also be sensitive to cultural differences and be able to provide leadership to a team of content executives, assuming responsibility for hands-on content management and/or outsourcing as required.



Key Accountabilities

- Commission editorial and design work based on the content requirements of business teams and host brands across Alshaya and the eCommerce function- Develop and implement SEO content strategy- Ability to lead CMS development and road map- Good understanding of Omniture analytics- Manage business implementation of web content for various simultaneous projects whilst setting quality assurance standards and best practices.- Create content for tactical landing pages and promotion pages in support of campaign activities. - Provide and steer input into user centered design, usability testing, information and product architecture, copy management, visual design, UAT.- Provide in-depth development and operational knowledge of all areas of online content management including, promotions, web analytics, writing and editing for the web, digital trends, applications including social media platforms, content management systems, and image-editing software.- Create policies and procedures specific to the department in order to increase efficiency and achieve operational objectives





Skills and qualifications

- Educated to degree level- Knowledge of key web content, navigation and in / out flow.- Knowledge of key commercial systems- 5-7 years' experience in ecommerce web content, organisation, structuring and development, ideally in the retail sector.- In-depth high street retail experience- Experience of managing a team- Multiple brand experience in different countries.- Fluent in Adobe suite, CRM software and ftp.- Ability to motivate and influence team and individuals- Strong presentation skills- Strong interpersonal/networking skills- Exepreince in user-centered content design, usability testing, content information structure and architecture, copy management, and UAT.
