On behalf of our client one of the leading Specialist Hospitals in Saudi Arabia we have an opening for a Consultant Endocrinologist.
Responsible to the Chief of the Department/Deputy, Chief of Internal Medicine. Responsible for Residents and Specialist
Duties & Responsibilities
To provide specialized services to patients for the diagnosis and management of disease of the Endocrine Glands.
• Performs the professional duties of an Endocrinologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended by the Chief of Internal Medicine Services and approved by the MOH.
• Evaluates patients with Endocrine disease.
• Provides care to patients in the intensive care unit and medical wards.
• Provides consultation services to the in-patient services in his area of expertise.
• Shares in the on call duties of the internal medicine service. The Endocrinologist is an internist as well as an Endocrinologist and is expected to perform all the duties performed by an internist (refer to duties of internist).
• Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for Endocrine emergencies.
• Provides supervision and education to the medical staff, nurses and technicians about Endocrine Disease.
• Participates in the monthly staff meeting of the Internal Medicine Service.
• Participates and contributes to all the Performance Improvement Activities of the service.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the chief of service (. committee membership).
• Supervises the work of ward physicians, professional development physicians and internists, and provides his evaluation of their work at the request of the chief of service.
• Performs duties in general internal medicine clinics, wards as assigned by the chief of the chief of service and as workload dictates.
