The Senior Registered Nurse Infection Control is a member of the clinical team and is responsible for providing leadership of Infection Control provision and services across Mediclinic City Hospital.
Key Outputs:
Coordinate and implement ongoing evaluation of the facility's Infection Prevention and Control policies
Comply with respective state or national accreditation licensing requirements
Form partnerships with multidisciplinary team members to improve Infection Control policies / procedures and ensure these are complied with
Design and plan for infection Control processes and safety systems
Complete Infection Control reports as required and instructed by Hospital and relevant government bodies
Keep abreast of the community disease programs, outbreaks and report and implement actions as per Government regulation
Maintain current knowledge and trends in Infection Control to ensure we are up to date with policies/procedures pertaining to Infection Control
Collect data and maintain data bases for required statistics and reports
Conduct Infection Control audits as indicated
Take part in staff and patient education programs pertaining to Infection Control
Take ownership of the JCIA Infection Control Chapter and standards
