Teach Away is now hiring an experienced Audit Manager to work within the Governance Department of the head office of the Abu Dhabi public school system.



A 10-year government strategy has been initiated to boost student performance levels and achievement, and to modernize and enhance the Abu Dhabi educational system. With the goal of developing English proficiency, a bilingual system has been implemented from Kindergarten to Grade 7, with native-English speaking licensed educators teaching English, math, and science. The aim of the reform is to create a high quality, comprehensive system of education from early childhood to adult education, based on world class standards and expertise.



The Audit Manager should have solid experience in business auditing, both internal and external.



The Role will entail:



- Maintaining and updating internal audit policies and procedures

- Performing risk assessment activities and preparing the risk registers

- Implementing the internal audit plan

- Performing special investigations and reviews upon the request of the Audit Committee / Executive Directors

- Coordinating auditing activities with the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority

- Performing follow ups against corrective action plans as per the Internal Audit Plan

- Participating in the vendor selection process for external support resources

- Reviewing and tracking the performance of vendors against specified SLAs and KPIs

- Preparing the budget for each audit assignment

- Providing technical expertise on any related and assigned duties and ensuring the organization is well informed on successful auditing practices

- Supervising the execution of the internal audit plan through daily visits and discussions with auditing teams and external resources

- Any other job related duties as requested by the Audit committee and Executive Directors



Job Benefits

Salary: 30-52,000 AED per year
