Purpose of the Job
• To plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts and/or areas. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery
Principal Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Strategic
• Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
• Coordinates with senior management and prepares sales action plan and strategies accordingly.
Operational
• Assesses the requirements of the customer, suggests suitable products and alternative options, and makes a good sales pitch, ensuring consumer satisfaction.
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
• Develops and makes presentations of company products and services to existing and potential clients.
• Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
• Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
• Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
• Follows up with customers on due payments and resolves any issues accordingly.
• Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Responds to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person.
• Performs quality checks on product and service delivery.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
Reporting
• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
• Maintains sales activity records, prepare sales documentation and reports to the management accordingly.
• Prepares daily, weekly, and month-end reports regarding operations and sales.
• Follows procedures of reporting on performance and other reports required periodically and ad-hoc by other functions in the company.
