Job Objective
Providing services to the members/guest of the Diplomatic Club and responsible for welcoming the members and their guests in accordance with the established procedures and standards of the Club.
Duties and Responsibilities
At the beginning of the shift, checks/inspects the Health Club reception area where he/she is assigned and ensures that the area, facilities and equipment are clean, orderly and functional.
Prior to start of the operations, checks on members’ bookings and correspondence at the HC reception, to ensure that these are correct, updated and ready for the day’s operation.
Responds to the members’ inquiries on the sports and recreation facilities and services, making sure that the information given is complete, accurate and timely.
Prior to the start of operation, requests for items needed by making store requisition and pick up supplies/stationeries from the storeroom.
Note down all reservations and appointments, ensuring needed information are requested from the members and recorded.
Briefs the members on whatever safety instructions needed prior to performance of any activities in the recreation areas.
Observes members using the facilities in recreation areas and immediately offers assistance as may be required.
Be able to provide basic First Aid in the event of any minor accidents, to be fully aware of the procedure in the event of a major accident/emergency.
Cleans and assists in maintaining the recreation equipment before and after use.
Gives out towels and locker keys at the pool / health club reception, collects used towels, coordinates with laundry on replenishment of these areas and maintain records as specified in establish procedure.
Maintain good relationship with members and colleagues, contributes to team spirit.
Deals amicably with people at all levels resolving difficulties in an orderly and business like fashion.
Relieve other attendants or recreation staff when necessary.
Report any incidents occurring during the operation to the recreation manager.
Ensures all transactions are correspondingly posted in the system for inclusion in the members’ folio.
At the end of the shift, generates needed sales report as per audit / cash sales together with the sales report.
Immediately reports and turn over lost and found item to lost & found office, following required procedures at all times.
Attends scheduled employee training and periodic reviews on departmental responsibilities in case of emergencies.
Responds to emergency calls, first aid, as maybe required.
Attends all members’ complaints immediately and initiates immediate resolution if possible.
Ensures proper maintenance of all equipment in recreation areas.
Operates the sauna and steam for the guest accordance with established procedures.
Observes the members activities at the gym, making sure basic safety precautions are communicated prior to member’s activity.
Guides the members on the proper use of gym equipment to ensure that no physical injury is experienced through improper usage.
Ensure timely reporting of malfunction or maintenance deficiencies to appropriate dept..
Attend scheduled training courses and communication meeting and briefings as required.
Cooperates and coordinates with colleagues whenever is necessary.
Interacts with other departments to provide additional or specialized guest services.
Adheres to specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the Club.
Adheres to set procedures for attendance and timekeeping.
Adheres to the provisions outlined in the employee’s handbook.
Maintain clean and orderly work surroundings.
To perform all other recreation related duties as required by the Recreation Manager.
