Job Summary:
The Project Manager, will manage all aspects of HVAC and related construction projects from Order input to Project Handover to Customer satisfaction. Direct responsibility for project execution, management and administration while leading and managing different teams to accomplish specific project objectives in the given time frame and with available resources.
The successful candidate is someone with the right techno-commercial balance of experience & knowledge. S/He is someone who would be able to deliver plan margin while meeting/exceeding customer expectations without compromising on technical standards.
In this role, the HVAC Project Manager is responsible for projects with
Multiple technologies, vendors and subcontractors.
Contract may contain penalty clauses and or liquidated damages.
Project may include general construction systems and technologies, outside of Trane’s core competency and other IR sector products and solutions
Required to manage and develop lower level Project Managers
Responsibilities:
Plans and analyzes assigned projects, establishes schedules and project parameters and sets procedures to accomplish system objectives, involving complex contracting applications.
Examines and reviews contracts and estimates by performing risk analysis and developing risk mitigation plans. Ensures compliance with internal contracting processes.
Meets with contractors and owners to discuss scope of project; budgets; performance; and close-out to both Trane/IR and customer needs.
Supports the sales function by assisting with quote preparation and proposal. The Project Manager has the authority to highlight, guide and push back on projects / contracts not meeting the company requirements.
Establishes an operations budget for assigned projects by revising the original estimate based on validated project scope.
Responsible for maintaining the project budget to forecasted values and gross margin improvement..
Oversees the following: preparation of Trane material and vendor orders; recording the receipt of materials and approving payments.
Approves and Prepares sub-contractor request for quotation’s (RFQ) including: scope statements; plans and milestone dates; specs; bonding requirements; and billing schedule of values.
Receives and qualifies subcontractor proposals; supervises work of project assigned staff, subcontractors and installers.
Generates technician work orders: and prioritizes tasks.
Responsible for project cash-flow management: progress billing, collections support and monitoring, and resource management.
Responsible for change order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes and closing orders.
Ensures that quality standards are maintained for assigned projects.
Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff.
Establishes professional relationship and communicates with field support staff and customers and their representatives. Interfaces constantly to maintain accurat
