Operational
1. Deals directly with customers.
2. Co-operates with the Duty Manager and other colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the cheese section, to enhance the experience for the customer.
3. Assist in implementing and maintaining a HACCP Manual clearly stating department specific policies, procedures and training requirements.
4. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Workplace Safety and insurance legislation.
5. Answers customer's questions concerning use, price, and location of merchandise
6. Undertakes up-selling techniques to increase sales and to improve customer service
7. Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.
8. Wraps or bags merchandise for customers.
9. Transacts customer sales through till register according to Company payment procedures
10. Sets up product displays or arranges merchandise to promote sales as directed and in accordance with the current merchandising plan
11. Cleans products, equipment, shelves, counters, or tables
12. Assists with merchandising, restocking and stock rotation
13. Assists with training of other members of staff on product knowledge
14. Assists with supervisory functions on till which promote smoother operating procedures
Marketing & Development
1. Be continually aware of all business unit services and activities to be able to promote the various offerings.
2. Constantly strives to develop and increase sales in order to increase profitability.
3. Provide Management with creative ideas to project and enhance the business unit’s image, increase level of service, guest convenience, or methods to increase revenue.
4. Participate in Public Relations activities such as promotional activities designed at enhancing the image and profitability of the business unit.
5. Participate in the development of annual promotional activities based on guest feedback and market potential.
6. Play a key role to increase the relevance of our product offering.
Financial & Legal
1. Ensure all transactions are according to company's financial and legal policies and code of ethics.
2. Assist in ensuring that business unit costs are strictly controlled as per Financial Budget.
3. Ensure that adequate records are kept in order to offer statistical analysis.
Human Resources
1. Participate in any scheduled training and development programs that may improve personal or departmental standards.
2. Ensure that relationships with colleagues are in harmony, maximizing team spirit and cooperation to the good of the business unit.
3. Report for duty punctually, maintaining a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene, wearing correct uniform and nametag at all times.
Administration
1. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
2. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
3. Ensure that any daily documentation are completed and filed accurately and punctually.
