1- Main Responsibilities
Sets up the line cook station, maintains product presentations, product quality and cook time standards, prepares all menu items according to recipes and specification.
2- Primary Functions
1. Report to duty well before time and checks production checklists and be ready for the shift
2. Follows FIFO cycles (first in-first out) Procedure.
3. Prepares all Back Grill items according to SOP’s
4. Cleans and sanitizes work stations before during and after the shift.
5. Store hot and cold food in an appropriate temperatures
6. Make sure that at any given time minimum quantity of product required to operate the shift is available at the station and not have excess or too little product
7. Regular check for expiring products and informing kitchen manager of the same
8. Cleaning and arranging of station during and at the end of shift.
9. Receiving all products from store before starting the shift
10. Practices Safe food handling at all times e.g. wearing gloves, hairnet etc.
11. Prepares menu items according to recipes, plate presentation and specification.
12. Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
13. Any other duties as required by the Restaurant Management Team.
14. Follows FIFO & defrosting cycles.
