Waiter / Waitress - Acquire Foods

1- Main Responsibilities

To serve food, beverage and to accommodate guests’ needs in a timely manner and friendly smile.



2- Primary Functions:

1. Greet all guests with a smile within 30 seconds of being seated, the server has to introduce him/herself as the guest’s server

2. Aware of all menu items, terminologies and ingredients

3. Recommend, appetizers, drinks and any other special feature of the day if available.

4. Punch order in the proper sequence, repeat the order to the guest, deliver drinks within 3 minutes of order, salad within 5 minutes and appetizers within 8 minutes, main course within 15 minutes for chicken items and 20 minutes for beef/lamb, and serve each item by introducing the item name.

5. Take main dish order by suggestively selling high value items and other sides and extras.

6. Clear unwanted plates and check for refill or repeat of existing drinks or suggestively sell another beverage.

7. Maintain table appearance by clearing unwanted plates, ashtray, tissues, napkins, and wish the guest to enjoy their food.

8. Clear plates from the table and recommend after meal items like desserts or tea/coffee.

9. Present bill and comment card within 2 minutes of guests request and deliver change within 2 minutes again. Make sure that the guest fills in all details of the comment card.

10. Thanks Guest for choosing to visit our restaurant and request them to return again.

11. Re-arrange the table and fix the seating after the guests left



3- Side Shift Duties:

1. Assisting in replenishing cutlery/side plates/napkins during shift.

2. Assisting other servers when busy w/large tables to create an environment of team work.

3. Greet all guests, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, drinks and service.

4. Observes all guests and respond to any additional request and must be able to anticipate customer needs.

5. Participates in restaurant set up, individual duties assigned to each station.

6. Any other duties as required by the restaurant management.
