Operational
1. Maintain key information about your best customers in order to provide them with exceptional levels of service. Use available Company tools, such as ‘Loyalty Program’ consistently for support.
2. Provide a one-to-one bespoke service to your client base, ensuring that you build lasting relationships.
3. Use clientelling to deliver increased sales through effective up selling & cross selling throughout the Store.
4. Assist in formulation and continual upgrading of standards, and managing performance as detailed in the Operations Manual to ensure the efficient operation of the business unit.
5. Assist in implementing and maintaining a HACCP Manual clearly stating department specific policies, procedures and training requirements.
6. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Workplace Safety and insurance legislation.
7. Ensure that guest needs are met by providing constant supervision and professional service.
8. Supervise the promotion of the business unit identity by building rapport and a sense of personalized service towards guests.
9. Make recommendations to Management for modernization of equipment, service methods, presentation and improved guest satisfaction.
10. Identify operational challenges and coordinate solutions with colleagues whenever necessary.
11. Participate in regular meetings and briefings to keep employees informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments. Conducts meetings in the absence of the Retail.
12. Assist in ensuring that all safety rules emergency procedures and fire prevention regulations are strictly enforced by employees.
13. Liaise with Maintenance to ensure prompt and efficient repair work.
14. Propose product and service enhancement and changes based on customer feedback.
15. Ensure service readiness with regards to all service components; employees, supplies and facilities.
16. Liaise with all support departments to provide a consistently high standard of service and flow of work in the absence of the Retail Management, or as directed by them.
17. Liaise with Procurement to ensure prompt and efficient purchasing, issuing of supplies, stock control and inventory control.
18. Liaise with Stewarding to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, maintenance and adequate provisions of operating equipment.
Marketing & Development
1. Be continually aware of all business unit services and activities to be able to promote the various offerings.
2. Constantly strives to develop and increase sales in order to increase profitability.
3. Provide Management with creative ideas to project and enhance the business units image, increase level of service, guest convenience, or methods to increase revenue.
4. Participate in Public Relations activities, Sales Calls, and other promotional activities designed at enhancing the image and profitability of the business unit.
5. Help to develop and nurture relationships with press contacts, clients and management.
6. Participate in the development of annual promotional activities based on guest feedback and market potential.
7. Maintain awareness of market trends in the catering industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
Financial & Legal
1. Ensure all transactions are conducted according to company's financial and legal policies and code of ethics.
2. Assist in ensuring that business unit costs are strictly controlled as per Financial Budget.
Human Resources
1. Assist and conduct training courses for new employees, and regular "Refresher" courses for newly hired and existing employees.
2. Ensure that all employees report for duty punctually, maintaining a high standard of personal grooming, wearing the correct uniform and name tag.
3. Participate in conducting Performance Appraisals for employees to review their general performance, and to discuss existing performance for improvement.
