Operational
1. Ensure service readiness at all time
2. Deals with customers
3. Co-operates with the Manager and other colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the specified section, to enhance the experience for the customer
4. Answers customer's questions concerning use, price, and location of merchandise
5. Undertakes up-selling techniques to increase sales and to improve customer service
6. Ensure that all Municipality and HACCP related policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
7. Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Workplace Safety and insurance legislation.
8. Ensure that guest needs are met by providing constant supervision and professional service.
9. Supervise the promotion of the business unit identity by building rapport and a sense of personalized service towards guests.
10. Make recommendations to Management for modernization of equipment, service methods, presentation and improved guest satisfaction.
11. Identify operational challenges and coordinate solutions with colleagues whenever necessary.
12. Participate in regular meetings and briefings to keep employees informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments. Conducts meetings in the absence of the Restaurant/F&B Service Manager.
13. Represent the Assistant Manager in his/her absence.
14. Ensure visible presence in business unit especially during peak operational hours.
15. Assist and deal with client complaints in a efficient manner.
16. Ensure that section is fully merchandised and well presented
17. Correspond with purchasing coordinator any non-moving items, out-of stock and new items required by customers
18. Record daily replenishment
19. Fully responsible for the date checking of each single items and for the due diligence of each area of the section
Marketing & Development
1. Be continually aware of all business unit services and activities to be able to promote the various offerings.
2. Constantly strives to develop and increase sales in order to increase profitability.
3. Provide Management with creative ideas to project and enhance the business unit’s image, increase level of service, guest convenience, or methods to increase revenue.
4. Participate in Public Relations activities such as promotional activities designed at enhancing the image and profitability of the business unit.
5. Participate in the development of annual promotional activities based on guest feedback and market potential.
6. Play a key role to increase the relevance of our product offering.
Financial & Legal
1. Ensure all transactions are according to company's financial and legal policies and code of ethics.
2. Assist in ensuring that business unit costs are strictly controlled as per Financial Budget.
3. Ensure that adequate records are kept in order to offer statistical analysis.
Human Resources
1. Participate in any scheduled training and development programs that may improve personal or departmental standards.
2. Ensure that relationships with colleagues are in harmony, maximizing team spirit and cooperation to the good of the business unit.
3. Report for duty punctually, maintaining a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene, wearing correct uniform and nametag at all times.
Administration
1. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
2. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
3. Ensure that any daily documentation are completed and filed accurately and punctually.
