Maintenance Manager - Al Ohadieh Integrated for Ready Mix Co.

• Provide guidance to the maintenance team members on fixing problems.

• Advise and approve on items to be replaced or repaired.

• Monitor performance of the maintenance staff and interfere when necessary.

• Handle contacts with overseas suppliers of materials and spare parts when needed.

• Ensure that all maintenance sites are properly equipped with all needed tools.

• Provide recommendation to site managers on optimum utilization of equipment and/or machinery.

• Get technically involved in analyzing offers and qualifying suppliers for provision of equipment.

• Ensure full compliance with proper safety standards and procedures.

• Ensure that all team members use proper PPE items and operate in very safe condition.

• Train the staff on safety related matters and submit related reports.

• Analyze and investigate into safety violations/incidents, report those incidents and recommend actions.

• Assume full responsibility for all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.

• Liaise with finance department to raise purchase requests.

• Recommend keeping minimum stock levels especially for fast moving items (. filters, brakes, bolts, etc) .

• Train technicians and mechanics on doing service and repair tasks in the workshop.

• Participate in testing and selecting technicians for the workshop.

• Plan for future manpower requirements in the workshop and raise staffing requisitions accordingly.

• Maintain minimum stock levels for critical items .

• Manage the store keeper activities.

• Qualify spare parts suppliers as per the established standards.

Process:

• Preventive Maintenance: To ensure the fleet is always in good working condition and to avoid break downs.

• Periodic Service: To ensure trucks are regularly maintained and always in good working condition to avoid break downs.

• Pre-Trip Check: To ensure the fleet is always in good condition before departing from factory and to avoid break downs during the trip.

• Spare Parts Purchase Requisitions: To ensure that only authorized purchases are processed.

• Quality Check of Received Spare Parts: To ensure that inventory received spare parts meets the quality standards.

• Issuance of Spare parts To ensure that issued spare parts are properly approved.

• Replacement of Spare Parts and segregation of used parts: To ensure that spare parts ordered are used to repair the trucks.

• Critical Spare Parts: To ensure that workshop have identified critical parts for all trucks. To ensure that all these critical parts are available in the spare parts warehouse at all time.

• Breakdowns (Frequency and Delayed): To ensure that delivery and distribution trucks break-downs are addressed in a timely manner and that the causes of the major break downs are analyzed to identify root causes.

• Trucks Maintenance Cost Analysis: To ensure that all maintenance costs are allocated to their related trucks. Also to ensure that cost maintenance analysis is performed and reviewed periodically.

• Maintenance job orders / card: To ensure that all maintenance job performed are document and approved.

• Maintenance Checklists: To ensure that maintenance check lists are defined and available for major maintenance job.

• Trucks Repair Vs. Replace: To ensure lower maintenance cost and high truck maintenance efficiency.

• Spare Part Inventory Count: To confirm the physical existence of spare parts without errors. And to identify stock discrepancies.

• Truck brand Consistency: To ensure that trucks available/procured are consistent in brand. Also to identify whether a specific brand is having higher maintenance cost against other brands.

• Use of Non-Operational Trucks: To ensure that all non-operational trucks are adequately disposed and that no extra expenses are incurred.

• System Utilization (ERP): To ensure that the workshop has system in place and all maintenance jobs are accurately and timely recorded in the system.
