Import Seafreight Coordinator - Kuehne + Nagel

PURPOSE:



• Responsible to handle Sea freight FCL import Prepaid shipments globally and ensure all operational functions are carried out in comprehensible way and manner as per K+N guidelines and working procedures.



OBJECTIVES:



 Professional tasks

• Sea-freight Import Operator is responsible to affect and ensure the smooth Execution of General Sea-import and job files as to process and documentation of both system and physical handling.

 General tasks

• Receive booking and effect Contract Review

• Receive order and coordinate with K+N Origins for execution as per requirements

• Co-ordinate on time deliveries, pick from origins, follow up and report any deviations and corrections to clients as well as with shipping updates

• Secure efficient documentation being received from Origins as per local rules and regulations

• Ensure processing of all documents correctly an on timely manner as per internal SOP, . Arrival Notifications, Release instructions, invoicing etc.

• Control deviations / discrepancies to client requirements and liaising with origin offices for corrective actions with full adherence to procedures and requirements

• Assisting sales staff with follow-up for import shipments

• Maintaining job costing on timely manner

• Optimizing profitability and reporting any loss with justifications to Jed SI/Jed ZS

• Ensuring all business processes to be executed as per K+N internal Systems and Guidelines

• Ensuring that QSHE directives are implemented

• Ensuring Smooth hand over to back up in case of vacation.
