The Operations Manager will be working as part of the Middle East Team, responsibilities and duties
include:
• Line management of for the Violations Processing Centre operations staff through a number of shift supervisors with specific duties including:
o Arrange rostering, staffing and overtime for VPC operations, including ensuring adequate staffing to cover weekends, holidays and other abnormal working times as
the work demands require.
o Deal sensitively with HR and labour issues with VPC over 100 operators and supervisors
o Implement and undertake processes for monitoring the performance of the VPC operators, including bonus and other incentive schemes.
o Instigate and enact programs for enhanced morale and performance among the VPC operations team.
o Set policies and standards for high levels of professionalism, accuracy, performance and throughput in the VPC operations.
o Administer disciplinary actions as required.
o Manage the transition into multiple shifts and likely a 24x7operation including a night shift.
o Co-ordinate the possible future introduction of a women’s shift.
o Recruit and train additional VPC operations staff for growth and replacing turnover.
o Liaise with Traffic Police in co-ordinating their work at the VPC.
o Choose, promote, mentor and train the VPC supervisors.
• Assist in set up of operational and management processes in the VPC.
• Administer training sessions as required for the VPC operations and other staff, including occasionally the customer and third-parties.
• Support the rest of the management team in dealing with commercial issues with the customer and other stakeholders.
• Support the company’s Western management with Saudi influence as and when required in interactions with government, suppliers, partners, customers and other stakeholders.
• Encourage staff to comply with business policies, procedures and work instructions.
• Support and encourage staff in fostering continuous improvement across the business.
• Review current work practices to identify areas in which quality or productivity could be improved.
• Communicate frequently with management to report on the status of your area.
• Work in a healthy and safe manner in accordance with standered Health & Safety Policy.
• Be a positive influence in encouraging compliance with and improvement of health and safety initiatives, and implementing training and strategies where appropriate.
• Understand and adhere to all relevant Traffic Operating Services (Saudi Arabia) LLC policies
and Global standards defined in the Quality and OHS Manuals, and include standered Guiding Principles.
• Attend all required safety training.
• Comply with individual Health and Safety legislative
responsibilities by:-
o Reporting all hazards, incidents and injuries immediately.
o Reporting Fit for Work.
o Protect own safety and health and not adversely affect health and safety of others.
o Understand individual environmental responsibilities and be held accountable for actions.
o Report all environmental incidents immediately.
• Maintain a close working relationship with a cross section of staff.
• Other duties as directed.
