Senior Occupational Health Specialist - ENEC

To ensure the implementation of ENEC Health & Safety policies, programs, and procedures during the construction of the nuclear power plant, in order to provide the highest level of industrial safety to ENEC’s employees, premises, assets and the local and national community.

1. Activity: Occupational Health Monitoring Responsibility:  Ensure industrial Occupational health indicators, such as; accident rates, across BNPP to propose corrective action wherever necessary  Investigate occupational injuries and liaise with clinic medical team employing appropriate investigation methodologies in accordance with the severity of the injury to determine root causes and guide development of appropriate action plans to prevent recurrence  Perform Occupational Health inspections of BNPP welfare facilities to ensure all relevant health and safety measures are appropriately applied  Conduct review of ENEC-CPO departmental processes and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practice  Analyze physical occupational health risk assessment, analysis and treatment activities covering all ENEC-CPO sites

2. Activity: Occupational health Evaluation Responsibility:  To perform occupational health analysis and develop corrective actions covering all BNPP in order to ensure adequate occupational health practices across site.

3. Activity: Inquiry and Analysis Responsibility:  To support occupational health audits and follow up on corrective actions in order to ensure compliance with ENEC -HSES

4. Activity: Reporting Responsibility:  Consult with ENEC- HSES reporting requirements pertaining to BNPP occupational health oversight activities.  Review and provide comments on BNPP- CPO related welfare facilities engineering and construction documents to ensure needs are met and standards are maintained.

5. Activity: Policies and Procedures Responsibility:  Assists in reviewing policies and procedures related to BNPP occupational health and implementation of prescribed standards across BNPP in order to provide recommendations where necessary.

6. Activity: Occupational Health Training Responsibility:  Ensure occupational health campaign and development of related training to promote and increase awareness  Support in providing input into development of appropriate training programs to educate BNPP staff on health and safety practices

7. Activity: HSE Responsibility: Follow all relevant company’s HSE policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these HSE policies and procedures to self and others to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people, or the environment, who are at the employee's place of work who may be affected by the employees acts or omissions at work.
