Mondragon Educacion Internacional (MEI, Spain) and Wintec (New Zealand) are leading providers of international technical education, and we are working in partnership to manage a cluster of several male and female vocational and technical Colleges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as one of the International Operators.
Ensuring high-quality jobs for Saudi Nationals is one of the most critical priorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and they are embarking on one of the largest technical and vocational education and training upgrades in the world. The will increase the capacity of the system from 110,000 students to more than 400,000 students in the next 10 years using brand new, purpose-built colleges run by international operators. The project is of great strategic importance to the entire country and MEI and Wintec want to support the Saudi people to achieve their goals - and you too can be part of this exciting journey.
You will be a key part of the team providing a quality learning experience to 17-22 year olds Saudi students and delivering these work-ready and well qualified graduates to the local Saudi industry and community.
Our colleges are in the coastal region of Tabouk:
• Al Wajh Technical College, Al Wajh City
• Al Wajh Technical College for Girls, Al Wajh City
• Umluj Technical College, Umluj City
Each College will accommodate 2000 students. Year One of Diploma level study will provide English language and Foundation studies, with Year Two and Year Three focusing on a range of vocational programs. Year Three students will spent up to 30% of their time in on-job training. All programs will be taught in English and aligned to the Saudi National Occupational Skill Standards (NOSS).
The Counsellor of the College will have the following role:
1. Program Planning
To define and implement the counselling program for the College in collaboration with the rest of the academic team.
2. Counselling
To provide counselling services to meet the developmental, preventive, and remedial needs of students.
3. Consulting
To consult with students, parents, teachers, other staff and the community in order to better meet the needs of students.
4. Coordinating
To coordinate all counselling services for students and to contribute to the definition and implementation of student services in the College.
5. Student Appraisal
To take part in the students´appraisal, to interpret test results and other student data. To support and assist the teachers by proposing appropriate educational assessment strategies.
6. Developping Professional Practices
To ensure that counselling adheres to the ethical standards of the College, and abides by the laws, policies, and procedures that govern Colleges in Saudi Arabia.
To participate in professional associations and keep upgraded his professional knowledge and skills.
