1. Conduct market research, assess market needs and present findings in order to have an accurate and up-to-date image/description of the market with its trends, fluctuations and opportunities.
2. Develop a Customer Relationship Management system that aims to know the clients better, acquire or maintain existing relations and foresee potential clients’ needs.
3. Conduct periodic data sourcing of potential partners, with their relevant needs and strategies and submit recommendations to senior business developer for potential partnerships.
4. Keep an updated list of competitors and monitor their activities as well as their pricing and bidding strategies to maintain an accurate and up-to-date database.
5. Manage the tendering preparation process from identifying potential interesting projects, getting an invitation to tender after consulting the senior business developer, providing logistical support and technical information to estimators or other involved departments till submitting the required documentation and ensuring the appropriate follow-up in order to best meet the client’s requirements and get awarded.
6. Coordinate with the prospect and respond to his technical queries in order to ensure his satisfaction and be continuously up-to-date with the bid status.
7. Provide the concerned Project Manager after getting awarded with the necessary tendering documents/information and give him all direct and indirect information related to the project so that he could be aware of the context of the project surrounding the contract.
8. Monitor the feed-back of external stakeholders (client, supplier, consultant, partner, etc…) at projects’ commissioning in order to identify and communicate to the company the relevant operational weaknesses and strengths, and tackle them at future tendering activities.
9. Prepare regular reports to senior business developer that help build up the business development strategy.
10. Handle the preparation of the corporate identity manual and the marketing materials for promotional activities.
11. Organize and file all collected business intelligence data as well as tenders documents with their relevant correspondences to ensure the traceability of the tendering process.
