Irrigation Supervisor required to be responsible for a complete irrigation system, for all areas at each site, to be fine-tuned, efficiently and evenly irrigate in accordance with the engineered design in every respect. To maintain the system set in operation and adjusted to the satisfaction of the Engineer.
• You must have knowledge of automated irrigation system with all related component consisting of field remote control valves, control wires, filter, integrated dripper lines, drippers, flush valves, sprinklers, bubblers and control. Repair and troubleshoots irrigation issues as required by.
• Perform irrigation system additions and renovations to be coordinate with the local suppliers include adding new piping, heads, valves, wiring and controlling
• Program irrigation clocks to ensure proper watering of landscapes are maintained
• Inspect facilities to determine maintenance needs
• Estimate labour requirements for jobs and plan work schedules accordingly.
• Confer with the staff to evaluate weather or soil conditions, to develop plans or procedures, or to discuss issues such as changes in fertilizers, herbicides, or cultivating techniques.
• Monitor work performed by others internal or external landscaping contractors.
• Ensure proper use, care and inventory of equipment and tools assigned
• Ensure the specification is met, requests are responded to and problems are resolved
• Support and develop staff to be productive and deliver a high standard of work, ensuring staff are adequately trained.
• Observe workers to detect inefficient or unsafe work procedures or to identify problems, initiating corrective action as necessary.
• Review employees' work to evaluate quality and quantity.
• Train workers in irrigation techniques and in the use of safety measures.
• Estimate labour requirements for jobs and plan work schedules accordingly.
• Drive or operate gardening machinery, such as trucks, tractors, or self-propelled equipment, to transport workers or supplies or to cultivate or harvest fields.
• Plan or supervise infrastructure or collection maintenance functions, such as planting, fertilizing, pest or weed control, or landscaping.
• Prepare and maintain time or payroll reports, as well as details of personnel actions, such as performance evaluations, hires, promotions, or disciplinary actions
• Assign duties, such as cultivation, irrigation, or harvesting of crops or plants, product packaging or grading, or equipment maintenance.
• Inspect facilities to determine maintenance needs.
• Direct or assist with the adjustment or repair of equipment or machinery.
• Prepare reports regarding site(s) conditions, crop yields, machinery breakdowns, or labour problems.
• Issue equipment, such as farm implements, machinery, ladders, or containers to workers, and collect equipment when work is complete.
• Perform landscape activities, including installation or repair of irrigation systems, resurfacing or erosion control
• Read inventory records, customer orders, or shipping schedules to determine required activities.
• Be responsible for the presentation and security of the site
• Ensure a professional image is presented at all times.
