1) Manages overall supervision of the sections within the Finance and Management Affairs Department.
2) Manages the Departmental budget.
3) Develops policy and services relating to the Finance, Purchasing and Administration sections.
4) Assists with development of policy and service relating to the other departments as necessary.
5) Ensures that all functions to be undertaken by the sections within their department have been allocated to responsible people and are correctly completed with no functions left undone or unaccounted for.
6) Maintains full awareness of the work of the department in order to brief senior management and other interested parties on detailed issues as required.
7) Provides the departments Head with strategic reports relating to developing the operations of their department, which include cost effective and relevant short, medium and/or long term plans.
8) Provides senior management with regular reports and management information relating to the business of their sections.
9) Contributes in the management by participating in the Executive Group.
10) Ensures that all actions taken by staff within department are fully and accurately recorded.
11) Keeps abreast of new developments, methods and techniques in securities markets and their finance, procurement, and administration functions.
12) Prepares and conducts performance evaluations of staff under their supervision.
13) Provides any necessary clarification to internal and external auditors.
14) Oversees capital expenditure and cashflow.
15) Manages the overall operational budget.
16) Ensures the purchasing of quality goods and services at an economic price.
17) Performs any other task or duties as may be required by Chief Executive/ Assistant Chief Executive for Support Services.
