Employee Relation Specialist - Dur Hospitality

• Employee Relations: Acts as the first point of contact for management and employees for performance counseling, advice and resolution on a broad range of general HR issues. Develops, implements, and administers the employee relations area in an effort to improve employee satisfaction and retention. Proposes, publishes, and administers employee policies. Coaches, counsels and guides managers in the coaching and disciplining of employees as well as in the actual execution of employee disciplinary actions. Conducts Human Resources related trainings. Manages and tracks all employee issues / concerns / complaints/disciplinary actions.

• Investigations: Investigates problems such as: working conditions, disciplinary actions, and employee or applicant complaints, and complaints regarding harassment or discrimination, and other sensitive matters. According to circumstances, provides guidance and recommendations for conflict or problem resolution to individuals as well as members of management team.

• Policies and Procedures: Develops and recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed as well as overall Company success. Develops, recommends, and implements employee policies and procedures. Assists in maintaining employee handbook, as well as its applicability to state and federal labor laws. Attends and participates in meetings. Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.

• Values: Adherence to company values such as the Mission and “We Believe” statements in order to ensure that all team members continually strive for excellence. Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policy.

• Data & Reporting: Responsible for maintaining all employee relations documentation as dictated by governing agencies. Responsible for HR audits to ensure compliance with various laws and governmental agencies. Development and implementation of changes to processes and HR programs.

• Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.
