Our client, a leading sugar refinery, is currently seeking to recruit a dynamic Projects Development Manager . You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director / Chairman JOB PURPOSE: • The purpose of this role is to design, develop, and direct projects management function and implement effective internal controls, ensure full compliance with it. • To ensure that projects goals are met in accordance with the best international project management principles. • To ensure full compliance with the Company policies and procedures with Laws and Regulations of the Country. • To support the establishment of appropriate Budgeting, ROI, Feasibility Studies that provide controls overall projects to support correct decision making process. • To establish effective ERP Management Reporting function. • To accurately establish a projects’ management dashboard to report monthly progress to the management. Key Accountabilities ERP System and Controls: • Take a leading role in developing, running and using the SAP ERP system. To ensure that the projects management is fully integrated and interfaced with other parts of the company to result a strong dashboard. • Ensure that all control standards are established-in within the SAP ERP system to result a strong on-time and accurate dashboard readings • Ensure that ERP financial costing, budgeting, and projects management systems are properly integrated and enabled to process timely reports to the best of the business • Coordinate to ensuring that all relevant IT-systems are up and running with accurate information and valid information. Functional Requirements: • Manage all new upcoming projects with the assigned projects managers and frequently report progress to the Management. • Be the owners’ representative in the new projects. • Be a part of the Consultants and Contractors selection process. • Work hand in hand with the consultants for preparing the Projects’ design, quotations’ preparation and specifications’ preparation. • Follow up the project from the design phases with the consultants and get approval from the Management and the required Authorities • Review and approve all projects drawings and designs for the best of the Company. • Play a significant role in tendering any project; negotiate with contractors locally, regionally and internationally for the execution. • Work with the Projects’ Managers and the Finance Department on budgeting all the new coming and up running projects. • Following up the all local and international projects overall progress, performance and report that to the management on timely manner. • Make sure that all projects placements are done with the correct contractors / subcontractors / consultants / subconsultants as per the need of each project. • Make sure that all decisions related to the projects are properly followed, recorded, reported and discussed with the management. • Provide technical advises and approvals to a certain agreed level with the top management for the best of the Company and the projects performance. • Make sure that all technical points and projects’ time lines are covered in the contracting phase • Provide a high level support in preparing the “contracts’ documents” between the Company and Contractors. • Pay big efforts in review all contracts with the legal department before the any final approvals • Make sure that all projects’ works are complying with the QA/QC/EHS requirements and international standards • Make sure that the correct materials are selected for any project to avoid any financial or quality losses • Compliance audit of all Environment, Health, Safety and Quality requirements of the projects and make sure that the Company and the Government EHSQ measures are adhered and followed. And relevant risks were taken in consideration.
