• Formulating and successfully implementing company requirements as directed by the trustee and or the Protector.
• Creating plans and directing activities towards the effective operation of the company.
• Locating/contracting with suppliers/vendors and service organizations of all type and ensuring the providers discharge their duties as required.
• Developing strategic operating plans (in conjunction with the Protector) that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the Protector/trustee;
• Maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the Protector, suppliers/vendors and customers.
• Putting in place adequate operational planning and financial control systems.
• Ensuring that the operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but carried out by staff and contract service providers.
• Closely monitoring the operating and financial results against plans and budgets.
• Keep regular contact with and manage the service providers (shippers/truckers/customs brokers/insurance companies, accountants/auditors) to carry out requirements, develop goodwill, address issues and improve service.
• Oversee acquisition of insurance and the related documentation.
• Representing the company to customers, suppliers/vendors, service providers, key stakeholders, business partners, banks and government agencies.
• Building and maintaining an effective team.
• Carry out monetary transactions as required.
• Taking remedial action where necessary and informing the Protector of significant changes.
• Assuming full accountability to the trustee and the Protector for all company operations.
