1- Main Responsibilities
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the business performance of the restaurant, and responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, health, and personnel hygiene, and ensures that customers will always come back.
2- Key Responsibilities
a. Motivates team-members, monitors performance of new hires, providing effective training, counselling, coaching and feedback, and ensure healthy work environment
b. Ensure that team achieves the service goals and are given daily feedback on skills & performance.
c. Ensure that all team-members comply with uniform standards and personal hygiene
d. Manages the day to day restaurant’s operations activities, set a proper work schedule, delegate tasks efficiently and select the team-leader for the shift
e. Participate in the process of manpower planning at the restaurant level, and recommend the right head count
f. Setting the annual business plan for the restaurant in coordination with Marketing and Executive Director / Managing Director
g. Manages the restaurant activities, through daily check list to ensure that the restaurant operations run in a smooth way and up to the expectations
h. Participates with marketing division in setting up the advertisement and promotional activities or recommending new products/services.
i. Prepares periodic reports including:
i. Employee performance (quarterly)
ii. Sales reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) with a comparison with previous periods
iii. Stock requisition and expenses level
j. Setting budgets, planning sales levels and profitability in coordination with senior management
k. Identify weaknesses and strengths to minimize cost and maximize sales
l. Responsible of wastage control
m. Partner with the kitchen in charge, to control the monthly inventory.
n. check restaurant stock level and ordering supplies
o. Planning and coordinating menu items, based on customer recommendations and suggestions
p. Seating floor plan, and visiting customer tables
q. Responding to customer complaints, recommendations and suggestions.
r. Multi-tasking, creative a team player, has the ability to innovate concepts and add new ideas to drive the business
s. Organized, use time efficiently, and a lead by example manager
