Senior Planning Engineer

We are a project management company based in Abu Dhabi with an immediate vacancy for a qualified senior planning engineer.



Our projects are mainly high-rise residential towers in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.



Responsibilities:



Responsible for all planning and related reporting activities



Ensure that the Consultants and Contractors implement proper planning, coordination and information management activities.



Ensure that the Contractor prepares an acceptable project programme, with resource and cost loading and properly updates it on a regular basis.



Review the project progress against the master schedule and the Contractor’s construction programme; analyse any areas in delay (or ahead of the programme) and report to the Project Team thereon.



Raise early warnings of potential risks to project delivery; identify solutions therefor, in conjunction with the Project Team; reorganising programmed activities as necessary to mitigate any time, disruption or cost impact and to expedite the work to finish the project on time.



Review, in conjunction with the Engineer, the Contractor’s monthly progress report and application for payment and arrange for any necessary adjustments thereto.



Monitor construction progress on site and assist the Project Team in the preparation of recovery action plans to address the delays and keep the project on the right track.



Manage and direct site photography for contemporary records and reporting purposes.



Review and analyse the areas of delays of the updated schedule and follow up with Site Teams of all parties to expedite the work and finish the project on time.



Assist the Commercial Manager in providing comprehensive contract administration in accordance with standard Client and company operating procedures and the conditions of contract.



Assist the Commercial Manager in the evaluation of Contractor’s and Consultants claims, particularly for extension of time and disruption claims. Carry out detailed impact analysis, including the preparation of sub-programmes, as necessary to support or refute claims and assist the Commercial Manager in formulating contractual/Engineer’s responses thereon.



Assist the Commercial Manager in preparing interim payment certificates.



Assist in the preparation, review and enforcement of the Project Execution Plan.



Prepare and review the Master Project Schedule and periodic schedule updates.



Coordinate the establishment and updating of submittal and procurement logs, and provide periodic reports to the project’s field and office staff.



Attend meetings associated with construction progress, schedule and PCS related issues.



Prepare monthly progress reports in coordination with the Project Team.



Assist the Project Director in preparing the Employer’s monthly executive report.



Review and comment upon the monthly & weekly reports submitted by the Consultant’s and Contractors.



Conduct internal audits of the down-line planning and site team’s activities and recommend and pursue any necessary corrective actions, to ensure compliance with project deliverables.



Maintain a good working relationship with the Project Team and other relevant parties.
