Position Summary:



As a Mobile Media Analyst you will work as part of the Innovation team who are responsible for implementation of Al Jazeera’s Digital Product strategy across the media Network. Although there will be a focus on mobile, the team will be digital products focused and work to implement a strategy that spans multiple products (web, mobile, gaming consoles) etc.



Responsibilities



• Manage projects for the design and implementation of mobile/tablet applications, websites and other digital products.

• Gather requirements from channels and liaising with stakeholders within the network.

• Communicate with internal developers, external vendors to interpret requirements.

• Assist in managing a portfolio of digital products and roadmap for the network.

• Implement tools for mobile reporting including training and support.

• Conduct training presentations to staff on new mobile services and tools.

• Research for latest trends in mobile and web technologies for relevant future projects.

• Contribute actively to brainstorming new ideas and execute them from beginning to end.

Is fully knowledgeable of the Property Management system (PMS) including all operational and reporting functions.

Attends shift briefings to understand daily activities (number of arrival, departure guests, VIPs and other special requests).

Ensures all rooms for arrival are vacant, clean and inspected by Housekeeping and allocated according to the reservation in the Property Management System.

Checks the guest in and out of the hotel in an efficient and timely manner.

Addresses guests by name at least once during every conversation.

Ensures arrival guests are accommodated according to their preferences and reserved room or suite category.

Up sells room categories and cross sells restaurants within the hotel.

Ensure all guests establish credit upon check-in.

Issue safety deposit boxes to guests upon request.

Allocate rooms and issue keys to the Bell staff to room the guest.

Checks and ensures guests registration forms are filled in properly and fully updated in the Property Management System.

Identify and record special billing instructions, informing the Front Office Manager of such cases.

.Manage all guest issues in a timely and efficient manner, requesting the assistance of the Front Office Manager in cases where support is required.

Answer the phone within three rings and in line with hotel standards of proper telephone etiquette and actions requests accordingly.

Transfers calls accurately and immediately if required to do so in line with the hotel’s standards.

Ensures all supporting checks from the F&B outlets are filed properly in the guest room file.

Reviews accounts and charges after approval of the invoice by the guests during the check-out process.

Takes feedback from the guest during check out process at the Front Desk and bids fondly farewell.

Is fully responsible for the amount of cash float he or she is entrusted.

Ensures the entire cashier report is correct and reports it to Front Office Supervisor or Management

Runs the necessary reports and completes them in line with hotel standards.

Monitors current rate, rate changes, and foreign exchange rate

Ensure guest mail and messages are delivered promptly.

Promptly accommodates guest requests in conjunction with other related departments where necessary . special occasions (birthday/anniversary), room amenities, reservations internal/external, luggage requirements etc.

Maintain effective key control.

Minimize loss of revenue by adhering to all established hotel credit and cash procedures.

Monitor customer accounts to ensure adherence to hotel credit limits.

Complete shift closing accurately by obtaining appropriate approval signatures and authorization codes.
