The project manager for Finacle is responsible for delivery of projects and changes assigned to them by domain managers. This includes planning, facilitating the approval processes, communication with project boards and reporting to PMO and IT Management. This role involves preparation of a business case, development of detailed project plans, monitoring of delivery against agreed timeframes/budgets and creation of contingency plans. Ability to lead a team, influence across organisational boundaries at senior levels and significant related project experience are seen to be necessary.
This role is also responsible for maintaining the applications that are being used by the Group, and that any incidents are resolved within the SLA, this requires careful management of the vendors. This role must motivate and manage the team to ensure resources are optimized. This role must be able to convert business requirements into loan products in a short period of time, and ensure they meet regulatory/central bank requirements.
Business Case: Develop & present business case along with business users. Evaluate and Implement solutions based on business requirement following the banks standard methodology and policies.
Project Planning: Develop and continuously update an overall milestones plan, resource requirements and detailed project schedules in order to effectively manage the project
Resource Management: Select, deploy and utilise assigned resources in order to ensure project delivery within the resource constraints
Project Budget: Allocation of budgets for each project. Ensure accurate utilization of the budget with efforts to save cost where possible.
Project Delivery: Achieve the milestones as planned in order to ensure project delivery and results as per the business case.
Interface Management: Involve and influence all the stakeholders, obtain their commitment for effective project implementation and projects results. This includes business, venders, key suppliers, members of Group IT.
Contingency Plans: Keep the project under continuous review to identify gaps and develop appropriate contingency plans
Project Team Management: Build and develop a high performing project team in order to deliver project results as per the business case
• Run projects, prepare project plan and provide MIS reports to PMO office. Liaison with cross functional IT infrastructure team members.
• Manage & mitigate project issues and risks.
• Manage project resources and team.
• Ensure development, testing and application integration follows industry best practice and is in line with Group IT standards.
• Manage project board and stakeholders.
• Documentation of IT processes as required by PMO standards. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in accordance with defined quality management practices, to achieve common objectives.
• Ensure maintaining Data confidentiality.
• Manage and delivery projects within the yearly IT Roadmap ensuring that project costings and estimates are as accurate as possible.
• Manage the production services to ensure maintenance and essential work is carried out and high availability is achieved.
• Participate in initiatives to optimize applications and related hardware.
• Manage assigned audit points.
• Manage relationships with project board and project team.
• Ensure support resources are available with sufficient knowledge to deliver specialist support for assigned applications.
