The SharePoint Solution Architect/Consultant is responsible for using significant and thorough knowledge of SharePoint capabilities to develop and guide enterprise-wide solutions for our clients, leading and coordinating projects from an enterprise content management perspective, ensuring that the client’s solution meets their business needs and the solution components are in line with accepted SharePoint best practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Business Requirements ‐ Conduct extensive research, analysis and coordination among multiple business units within the organization in order to develop requirements documentation for the solution. Utilize expertise in SharePoint content management, SharePoint workflows, and system integration to ensure implementation meets the needs of the business, follows best practices, and provides all the benefits expected.
• Development - assist with installation, development, configuration, documentation, and unit testing of the SharePoint solution based upon the business requirements.
• Change Management - utilize set of tools, processes, skills and principles for managing the people side of change to achieve the required outcomes of the project or initiative. This includes training and education of the business.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
• Excellent technical architecture skills, enabling the creation of future proof solutions
• Interpersonal communication and organizational skills required to operate as a leader
• Knowledge and experience in IT methodologies and life cycles that will be used.
• Familiar with infrastructure implementation/management, service/operations management, etc.
